Kanye West has expressed his anger that his latest album has been released by Universal Music Group, saying he was “disgusted” by the decision. An album overview on Amazon posted on Monday outed it as titled Donda, but West had not previously confirmed the album’s title or tracklisting.

Kanye lashed out in a series of tweets, writing: “I never tweeted anything regarding the release date of Donda because I didn’t know when it was coming out because I’m not too involved with the operations of my record label, including of 16 independently owned record labels.

I am my BUSINESS, therefore; my business is my art. The function of an artist is to make what everybody else isn’t making and to make them make what he’s making.

In a series of tweets, Kanye West accused his record label of releasing his latest album without his consent. The rapper capped he had been “handi” by the frustrating process of recording and releasing the project.

I can’t release Donda because I signed my life away in an album contract.
